Chef Nick Wallace artfully prepares delicious dishes every day at the King Edward Grille in the historic Hilton Garden Inn Jackson Downtown. Chef Nick and his special Southern Culinary Collection Menu have been featured at the renowned James Beard House in Manhattan, New York. As the first African American chef from Mississippi to be featured at this historic venue, he was named to the Best Chefs of America, which was voted upon by peers around the country.
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the building formerly known as the King Edward Hotel, now Hilton Garden Inn Downtown Jackson, is a cherished downtown Jackson, MS landmark. New Orleans architect William T. Nolan originally built the 12-story Edwards Hotel on the site in 1923. Milner Enterprises then purchased the hotel 30 years later, renovated and expanded the building, and renamed it the King Edward Hotel.
